About Erica!

I asked her why she thought she would be a good fit for the team, and she had an amazing response:

Honestly, I often have a less then graceful flow, which I have accepted. I end up tossing, not catching my hoop, smacking myself- but it's all good and part of my flowz at this time, lol. I just love to go with how my body wants to move with the hoops and have some fun with it.

What inspired you to start your journey:

I always enjoyed watching hoopers at music festivals. They always looked so cool. I began taking some hoopdance lessons, way back, in 2012 and sporadically from then until 2016 but never really did much practicing with it. In 2020, after being temporarily laid off and having a lot of time on my hands, I decided to get back into it and began watching tutorials and following flow artists and just beginning to flow.

What is your favorite music genre to flow to?

I really do flow to a bit of everything. Pop, Rock, Swing, Emo.. I can't really say that I have a favorite genre.

Do you flow with any other props? If so what are some of your other favorites?

I have a set of silk fans and a set of triangles. There is always a set of poi and several levitation wands in my household, but I only dabble with those.
